As India celebrated its 71st Republic Day, honouring the historic date when the country completed its transition towards becoming an independent republic after its constitution came into effect, the students, teachers and staff joined in the celebration with great enthusiasm.
A Flag hoisting ceremony was held in the school, where students shared their thoughts on how to make India corruption free by 2030. They also filled the arena with a patriotic feeling with a beautiful rendition of songs dedicated to their mother land. Senior Principal Shri Nilakantha Panigrahi spoke about the essence of Republic Day and inspired the students to help each other and stand as a united force to make the nation a better one. Shri Prakash Sahoo, Principal Secondary advised the students to think about the nation as a whole and render their contribution towards issues like cleanliness, education and many others.
On the occasion, a student platoon from SAI International School took part in the State-level parade held at Mahatma Gandhi Marg, Bhubaneswar. Hon’ble Governor Shri Ganeshi Lal unfurled the National Flag. The impressive March-past of the thirty-five SAIoneers was a sight to cherish.
