I was all alone on the road,
Too lazy to travel,
But there lay a long, grey path,
Through which I had to reach at any cost.
It wasn’t easy to do it all alone,
But I was determined to tread on my own,
Solemnly I walked down the lane,
Looking at strangers who stood with eyes full of pain.
The sun went down,
Spreading darkness all around,
Yet I wasn’t near my destined point,
I had to move on though I did feel faint.
It wasn’t possible to turn back now,
So I moved on and on,
And now I’m here,
To the point of no return.
