The Class XI Medical aspiring students of SAI International School went for a field visit to AMRI Hospital on Saturday, December 15, 2018. AMRI is a private healthcare group providing medical services backed by latest technology at Bhubaneswar.
Students were cordially received at the Conference Hall and briefed about their infrastructure and facilities by Dr. Biswajeevan Sahoo, Assistant Medical Superintendent, AMRI. Students gained a lot of information on the different pillars of the hospital and the people involved in the smooth functioning of a hospital like the maintenance staff, the IT staff, the technicians, the para medicos, administrative staff etc.
Students were taken on a guided tour of the hospital where they got to visit various departments. They went to the In-Patient Department (IPD) and Out Patient Department (OPD), the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as well as rooms where X-Ray, MRI, Ultrasound etc are done.
They also learnt about different branches of Medical Science, some of the major equipment etc. Students had a brilliant learning time getting to know about new technology in the field of medical science and learning about the management of a hospital.
