Physical activity plays a great role in the development of a child and so it is highly imperative for children to indulge in some or other form of such activities in their daily life. Several researches have proved that children who participate in sports tend to do well in academics. They are more confident, develop team spirit and social skills as well as enhance the agility of body and mind.
The annual coaching programme of SAI Sports Academy started on Sunday, November 11, 2018. Interested students from Class III to XII are given a two-hour training on Tennis, Basketball, Table Tennis, Cricket, Wall Climbing, Skating, Horse Riding, Kho-Kho, Football and Badminton every Sunday from 7am to 9am. The programme will continue till January 27, 2019 and students will receive a Certificate of Participation as well as a trophy at the end of the programme.
SAI Sports Academy continues to train the students every Sunday morning amidst the biting cold. The enthusiastic students and the equally keen coaches work together to tone the physique and hone the skills of the young SAIoneers in different sporting activities.
The objective of this training is to inculcate a love for sports in the students and help them to learn the sport of their choice in a methodical way. The experienced coaches and the excellent infrastructure help these young students in learning and practicing the sporting skills.
