by SAI Admin

09 September, 2019

The SAI Global Immersion Programme (GIP) to United Kingdom was conducted in June 2019, during which twelve students along with two Teacher Coordinators visited the Welton Primary School. Established in the year 1899, the school is set in the heart of the scenic Welton valley, providing education to students in the age group of four to eleven years.

The visiting team met the Head Teacher Mr. John Snell and were heartily welcomed by the students with a beautiful, melodious song. The SAIoneers presented the costumes of different states of India and made a presentation of their Mother land and on SAI International School as well as SAI International Residential School. They had a great time playing with the students in the sprawling playground of the school.

The SAI students also presented their project ‘Mind your Money’ to the students of Year 3 and 4. In the presentation, they answered questions about India and its currency. It was followed by a story telling session, where SAI students narrated stories about the toy tiger, Sher Khan.

The visit was featured in the newspaper Mid Somer Norton Bath.
