SAI International proudly participated in the AFS India Member Schools 6th National Meet 2024, held from November 15-17 in Kolhapur. Themed Dare to Change – Be a Changemaker, the event celebrated cultural exchange, leadership, and sustainability, bringing together schools from across India.

Day 1: A Warm Welcome and Cultural Exchange
The SAI delegation, led by Academic Director Mr. Nilakantha Panigrahi, Headmaster Mr. Amitabh Agnihotri, and AFS Coordinator Ms. Anu Kakar, embarked on this enriching journey with spirited SAIoneers. After a stopover in Bangalore, the team arrived in Kolhapur, greeted with garlands, tikka, and refreshing hospitality at Sanjay Ghodawat International School.

The evening buzzed with icebreaker activities, followed by a vibrant cultural showcase highlighting the region's heritage. Representing the Eastern Zone, SAIoneers delivered a soulful performance, echoing the theme of transformation. The day concluded with a sumptuous dinner, setting the stage for impactful sessions ahead.

Day 2: Learning, Leadership, and Creativity
Day 2 was a seamless blend of inspiration and engagement. Students proudly introduced themselves with their school flags before diving into sessions on AFS success stories. Ambassador Deepak Vohra’s thought-provoking insights on diplomacy and global citizenship encouraged participants to think beyond boundaries.

Spiritual guide Gaurang Das shared wisdom on mindfulness and purpose, followed by an energetic Zumba session and discussions on well-being. Sustainability workshops emphasized eco-friendly practices, and the day ended with a Worli Art workshop and “Alpa Maharashtra,” a cultural fair where SAIoneers showcased Odisha's rich traditions.

Day 3: A Memorable Farewell
The final day began with a serene visit to the sacred Mahalaxmi Temple, offering moments of peace and reflection. A vibrant Valedictory Ceremony brought together students from 62 schools to celebrate newfound bonds and shared learnings. Participants expressed heartfelt gratitude to the host school for its exceptional organization and hospitality.
