“So long as you do not achieve social liberty, whatever freedom is provided by the law is of no avail to you” – BR Ambedkar
Our SAIoneers very enthusiastically participated in all the virtual celebrations with high patriotic fervor and zest in their homes. Republic Day was celebrated online on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 9:00 AM by the students and teachers of SAI International.
After the National Anthem, Sr. Principal unfurled the Indian Flag and gave tribute to the Nation. He spoke about the arduous fight that our national leaders painstakingly undertook to fight the British oppression to secure an Independent country status for India. He urged us all to reflect and share the tragedy filled stories of the freedom fighters every year with our children, family and friends on this blessed day.
There was a sense of rejoicing with a spirit teeming with buoyancy and candor in a virtual assemblage, teachers and students and parents came together to witness a jubilation flavored in diverse airs, narrating tales of Indian essence, myriad hues and the brilliance of republic endeavor. Honoring the date, SAI organized cultural programs, essay-writing, skits, playing musical instruments, singing patriotic songs, writing speeches. Students could commemorate the event by contributing in varied presentations ranging from PPTs, speeches, self-composed dances, reciting poems and sharing documentaries on the journey of this great nation in becoming a unique republic.
The spirit of each and every child was infectious and commendable, even in a post-pandemic scenario, every student had so beautifully participated in the celebrations to express their love for our beloved country!
