Indians are lauded worldwide for their entrepreneurial skills and the country has been a seat of many successful ventures since time immemorial. In this era of Startups, we at SAI International School is not behind. Apart from nurturing the interested SAIoneers to become entrepreneurs, we also provide them with a real-life experience of global entrepreneurship.

In the year 2010, the School started its own international import export company called SAIONEER Exim. Each year students import items from partner school companies abroad and resale the import items at the Going Global Unwind Booth. This unique project gives our students a small glimpse of international business.

In May 2019, SAIONEER Exim formed its Executive Board and had its first official Skype call of the year with its partner school Company “The Genuine Company” at St Andrew Kawagga Gombie High School, Uganda. Students from both the schools discussed exchange company presentations and the items that can be procured or exchanged with each other. The discussion was a great learning experience as students learnt how to negotiate, how to present their products and how to export and import.

The partnership with the Ugandan school was established in the year 2016. The enterprising SAIoneers took a step forward and learnt some keywords in Luganda, the native language of Uganda, like how to greet them etc. Later they took inventory of all the amazing custom jewellery and zip pouches with African print, scarves and local Ugandan art and craft items which the students imported from Uganda and sold it during Unwind 2016 at the Going Global Club booth.
