The Department of Forest and Environment, Government of Odisha in association with SAI International School organised a Tree Plantation programme on Wednesday, July 17, 2019. On the occasion, Shri Kedar Kumar Swain, Divisional Forest Officer, Chandaka Wildlife Division spoke about the importance of planting trees to the students of Class V. He also distributed seedlings to the young students and encouraged them to take care of the plant like a parent so as to make the planet a cleaner and greener home. Senior Principal Shri Nilakantha Panigrahi inspired the students to be a responsible citizen by planting trees and taking care of them.
To create awareness among the students on the importance of the green cover, SAI International School organises several programmes during the Van Mahotsav every year. This year too, the students conducted plantation activities as well as spread awareness among the students through skits and songs.
