The CBSE Far-East Zone Swimming Competition was held from 28 September to 1st October 2016, at Royal Global School, Guwahati, Assam, where students from 61 Schools across 10 States participated in the competition. 17 swimmers from SAI International School participated in the competition and won several medals in various categories.

While in Under-11 50X4 Medley Relay (Girls category), Mannata Mishra, Divyanka Dibyajyoti Pradhan, Sneha Sathpathi and Akankshya Nayak won the 1st position, the same team won the 2nd position in the 4X50 mtrs Free Style Relay and Divyanka Dibyajyoti Pradhan won the 3rd position in the 200mtrs in Individual medley category.

In Under 14 Girls category, Orissa Lee Patnaik, Neharika Dash, Manmayi Mohapatra and Rudrani won the 2nd position in the 4X100 mtrs Free Style Relay as well as 2nd position in the Medley Relay. In Under-19 Girls category, Ukti Jagdev won the 2nd position in 50 mtrs backstroke and 3rd position in 100mtrs free style.

In Under-14 Boys category, Sourav Bhuyan, Shreyansh Mishra, Satwik Pattnaik and Prateek Raju came 4th in the 4X100 mtrs Medley Relay.
