SAIoneer Suhana Jena of Class VIII won the 22nd position in the 33rd National Open and Girls Under 13 Chess Championship, 2019 held at Vishakapatnam from May 4 to 12, 2019. The best 25 players of each category were awarded with cash prize. The National Tournament was conducted by the Visakhapatnam District Chess Association in association with the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA). 392 players from 29 States and four Union Territories had participated in the Championship.
Earlier Suhana had bagged the 3rd position in the Odisha State (U-13) Girls Chess Championship – 2019 held at Phulbani, Odisha from April 11 to 13, 2019, to qualify for the National Tournament.
