As a part of the Founder's Memorial Series, the Interact Club students from SAI International came together to organize a notable plantation drive in collaboration with the local Sarpanch of Ramdaspur village in Cuttack, on  August 19, 2023. This commendable initiative was officially launched by Rtn. Manik Sharma, President of Rotary Club Bhubaneswar, and Rtn. Purnendu Roy. Joining hands in this eco-conscious endeavour were students from both SAI International School (SIS) and SAI International Residential School (SIRS), along with their respective faculty & staff members, the village Sarpanch, and other local heads. Together, they planted nearly 200 saplings with support from the City's Divisional Forest Officer (DFO).

This green initiative, 'SAI Abhivrdh' goes beyond just planting trees; it extends to valuable lessons in teamwork, leadership, and the significance of sustainable practices in preserving our planet for future generations.

Rtn. Manik Sharma, President of Rotary Club Bhubaneswar applauded this initiative by Interact Club members & remarked, "Such initiatives showcase the potential of youth in driving positive change within communities." Rtn. Purnendu Roy, also present, added, "Collaborative efforts like these instil crucial values of environmental stewardship and community involvement in young minds."
