SAIoneers proved their mettle once again by winning laurels in the Project Modelling competition organised by CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (IMMT) on Friday, May 11, 2018. In the junior category, class IX students Piyush P Singh and Sutirth Rath bagged the 2nd position for their project ‘Recycling Smoke’, which is designed to model electricity out of smoke and reuse the carbon in smoke.
In the senior category, Sai Sambit and Anurag Patra of class XII, won the 2nd position for their project ‘HOMER’, a technology which helps to control home appliances using a single remote. The model also uses light fidelity and virtual intelligence technology in-order to make home automation a more consumer friendly and simplified process. The students received the prizes on the occasion of the National Technology Day 2018 organised at IMMT.
