In an endeavour to inspire the next generation of scientists and researchers, the students of Class XII from the science stream, got an oppertunity to visit the prestigious Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (CSIR-IMMT), Bhubaneswar, on September 13, 2023. This visit coincided with the institute's 60th-year celebrations and its Diamond Jubilee.
The highlight of the visit was the institute's 'One Week One Lab' (OWOL) program, a remarkable initiative aimed at showcasing CSIR-IMMT's six decades of groundbreaking achievements. The OWOL program featured an array of enriching activities, including exhibitions and presentations, captivating live demonstrations, fostering academic-industry connections, thought-provoking round table discussions, a Chintan Shivir in collaboration with DSIR (Department of Scientific and Industrial Research), enlightening expert talks and interactions, and opportunities for networking and social engagement.
For the SAIoneers, this experience was nothing short of transformative. As they immersed themselves in the world of research and innovation at CSIR-IMMT, they gained invaluable insights into the remarkable achievements of the institute's researchers over the past 60 years.
