It is indeed our pleasure to announce that this year a young group of filmmakers from SAI International School continued the legacy and won the prestigious 12th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival – 22 under two categories including “Best Film Ad” and “Best Background Music” under student entry. This ambitious group of students from Class IX & XII and members of the Going Global Club set out to highlight the effects of mental health on the day to day life of the youth through a short film ‘Unexpressed’.  It focused on the overwhelming result of depression and anxiety. The number two cause of death among teenagers aged 15 to 19 years is intentional self harm (suicied) at a wapping 21%. Speaking about mental health issues is more important than ever.

The awards are distributed by renowned Producers Sawita Raj, Gurmeet Sibbal, Rajesh Kumar jain. Jury members are from different countries including Oscar nominated filmmakers. There were over 2,300 entries globally, winners included filmmakers from all over India, China, United Kingdom, Lebanon, Belgium, United States of America, Spain, Sweden, Canada, Brazil, and New Zealand. With 23 categories including Best Actor, Best Film, Best Documentary, Best Music video and much more this film festival has grown in popularity quickly over the last few years.

Our Heartiest Congratulations to SAIoneers Nishant Swoyamprakash & Hrisita Mohapatra of Class XI and Dwetta Pati & Vaishali Patro of Class XII for unlocking such milestones.
