SAI International School proudly extends heartfelt congratulations to SAIoneer, Abhipsa Sonakshi Puthal from Class IX, for her remarkable dedication and devotion during her participation in the Republic Day Parade 2024. Abhipsa's exceptional performance at the Annual NCC Republic Day Camp in New Delhi, representing not only our school but also the state from the JW Army Wing on a national level, is truly commendable.

Abhipsa's outstanding efforts were duly recognized, and she was honored with an award by Commodore J. Surest, Deputy Director General, Odisha Directorate, acknowledging her services of the highest order that enhanced the image of the National Cadet Corps.

In Abhipsa's own words, "My inclination towards NCC started in 2022 when a conversation with my dad made me realize how NCC would give me a glimpse of military life. Aspiring to join the airforce, this camp experience was a significant takeaway for me. I am extremely happy to have been presented with this accolade. I thank my family for their unwavering support, my ANO from SAI International, Ms. Sarojini Lenka, who has been a pillar of support since the first camp selection, and the entire school for fostering an environment that encourages such pursuits."

As the distinguished flag area briefer for Odisha at the Republic Day Camp, Abhipsa not only showcased her exceptional leadership skills but also had the unique opportunity to interact with luminaries who hold pivotal roles in the nation's defence and governance. During the camp, Abhipsa had the honor of meeting esteemed personalities such as the Chief of Army, Navy, Defence, and Air Staff; the defence minister Shri Rajnath Singh; Chief Minister, Delhi, Shri Arvind Kejriwal; Defence Secretary of India, Shri Giridhar Aramane; Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Rakshya Rajya Mantri, Shri Ajay Bhatt. Adding to the prestige, Abhipsa was granted the privilege of visiting the residence of the Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modiji, during this memorable camp experience. Her role not only symbolized her proficiency but also offered her invaluable interactions with key figures in the country's defence and political landscape.
