We are super thrilled to announce that SAIoneer Janisha Karan from Class IX is one of the ‘Indian Debating League 2.0 Semi-Finalists’ who competed for the Ultimate Winner Trophy on November 14, 2022, organized by by AugLi: Future Skills Academy. Janisha represented Jammu & Kashmir following the theme this year- ‘Resurgent India- A Super Power In Making’ & led the state to 2nd position on the leaderboard.
Under this theme, participating teams were to traverse areas of national significance
economy, human resource development, political ecosystem and socio-cultural harmony. This tournament is the pinnacle of the Indian Debating Pyramid, which inspires the next generation of middle school and high school students from all over the country, competing to represent their home states and UTs and finally facing off against the other teams from the 28 states and 8 union territories. Whilst the team broke out as semi-finalists in the IDL 2.0, she won the 3rd Best Speaker in 11th Grade Category & represented SAI International in the Best Schools Leader Board.
This led to her directly advancing into the intermediate round of selections for the ISDS (Indian Schools Debating Society) National Selection Camp 2022 where students are evaluated on their speaking ability, improvement over time, knowledge of world affairs and teamwork. By the end of this camp, 10-15 debaters will form the Indian National Debate Squad for 2023, of which the top 5 will travel to WSDC Vietnam in July 2023.
SAI International is immensely proud of Janisha for making it among the top 0.02% to get into the National Selection Camp in Grade 9 & ended up in the Top 50 Debaters Rankings, PAN India. We wish her the heartiest congratulations for unlocking such milestones with her adept critical thinking, communication & collaboration skills.
