SAIoneer Sheyansh Vikas Mishra of Class XI was accorded with the Telegraph 18 Under 18 Award, Eastern India’s Prominent Award for Young Achievers, amidst 1200+ nominations from 250+ schools in the twelve eastern Indian states, on January 19, 2023 in the Grand Finale hosted at GD Birla Sabhagar, Kolkata. The Telegraph Online Edugraph 18 Under 18 Awards celebrate and honour 18 outstanding young achievers from Eastern India, from a diversified range of talents from several fields, under the age of 18. 16-year-old Shreyansh, a go-getter & younger innovator with a flair in science, research & technology was felicitated with the All-Rounder Award for his well-rounded accomplishments- be it making waves across science & maths fairs, and cyberspace olympiads or accumulating several accolades in sports & literary events.
Shreyansh shone amidst several nominations hailing from both big cities & small towns, all vying to make a place for themselves, their cities and their schools, and made it to the top 18, after intensive interviews & assessment by a 9-member jury, all stalwarts and luminaries in their respective fields.
At the age of 16, he has won several awards in the field of sports, academics, and technology, including the Inspire Awards - Manak. He has also been recognised as the top talent in the country by the Unified Council of India.
On receiving the Edugraph 18 Under 18: All-Rounder Award, Shreyansh Vikas Mishra expressed his happiness by saying “I have always been intrigued by the workings of science in our day-to-day lives, be it- how the wheels of a car rotate or how the hinges on a door work. Being a 21st century learner myself, I can certainly vouch that this award will further foster my drive towards science & research & fuel my curiosity for technological innovations & developments. Being a physics fanatic, I want to pursue a career in a field where I too can integrate automobile engineering & coding, both being genres I’m vastly interested in.”
He also emphasized on a simple philosophy that he firmly believes in- “Just try & fail because failure is just the previous chapter of success.”
