SAI International School successfully concluded the 13th edition of the SAI Model United Nations (SAIMUN) on 26th July 2025. The event witnessed two vibrant days of intensive dialogue, critical thinking, and cross-border collaboration, culminating in a grand Closing Ceremony. The Hon’ble Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, Smt. Surama Padhy graced the occasion as Chief Guest and commended the students for their awareness, eloquence, and drive to lead change.
With participation from 750 delegates representing 23 countries and 26 schools, SAIMUN 2025 stood as a powerful example of youth-led diplomacy. Committees like UNGA-DISEC, UNSC, UNHCR, UN-Women, WHO, UNFCCC, UNICEF, and the Indian Parliament debated pressing global issues such as the global arms trade, women’s rights under the Taliban, online child protection, air quality, and the persecution of Tibetan Buddhists.
The event was also marked by the Global Village, where cultures came alive through music, cuisine, and traditional art. The SAI Tribune, created by the International Press Corps, captured every insight, emotion, and highlight of the event. The closing ceremony served not just as a conclusion but as a celebration of collaboration, compassion, and leadership—the very principles that SAIMUN was built on.
