The award comes at a time when the city of Bhubaneswar is celebrating the vibrant Annual Flower Show at Ekamra Kanan Botanical Garden, held from January 9 to January 11, 2026. Organised by the Regional Plant Resource Centre (RPRC), the three-day exhibition showcased a stunning array of flowers and ornamental plants, with over 65 stalls featuring plant displays, nurseries, food vendors, and themed floral attractions for visitors of all ages. Entry to the exhibition was free, encouraging wide public participation in this celebration of horticulture and nature’s beauty.

The Annual Flower Show has become one of Bhubaneswar’s most anticipated winter attractions, drawing gardening enthusiasts, families, and tourists alike to enjoy the rich diversity of blooms, interactive selfie points, and cultural showcases that highlight the splendour of ornamental flora.
