Shri Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Founder and Editor of Odia daily, Sambad, inspired the students of SAI International during an online session held on Monday, June 1, 2020. He said students need to make the effort, have perseverance and inculcate the ability to overcome any challenges that come their way of success. He added that given a second chance he would always love to be a teacher.
During his virtual address, Shri Patnaik asked the students never to neglect their mother tongue and have a command over the language they are born with, which would eventually lead them towards having command over the International language, English.
Recalling his school days, he said that the students of SAI International should feel fortunate to be a part of such a famous school. Urging the students to make optimal use of the great opportunity, he said not to waste the time, as no amount of regret in later life will compensate for the time lost. He also asked the students to be grateful to their parents for giving them a wonderful life and providing them the best of education.
Shri Patnaik encouraged students to donate blood after they turn eighteen, to help in saving the lives of hundreds and thousands of people, who die due to shortage of blood.
Founder and Mentor, SAI International Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo thanked Shri Patnaik for inspiring students during this difficult phase and added that inspiration from such eminent personalities will have a profound impact on the learning horizon of the students. More than 2500 students and 250 teachers attended the virtual session.
