SAI International School has been acknowledged as a ‘Kindness Certified School’ by Kids for Peace (KFP) for making a positive difference in people. KFP is a Global chapter-based nonprofit organization dedicated to creating peace through youth leadership, community service, global friendships and thoughtful act of kindness.
SAI had taken part in the ‘Great Kindness Challenge’ held from January 21 to 25, 2018, to teach the students how to bring joy and happiness in others. In this challenge, students from KG-I to Class VIII are given a checklist of 50 acts of kindness to be completed in one week. Students sincerely carried out the acts, which helped them realize their inner joy in making others happy. This helps to inculcate emphatic values in students and empower them to create a culture of kindness.
SAI became the first Kids for Peace (KFP) Chapter in India in 2015 and conducts regular peace activities every month. It leads the schools community service initiatives and has been highlighted several times on the social media of Kids for Peace.
The School links up with other Kids for Peace Chapters abroad and join forces in promoting peace on a global scale. SAI has KFP Chapter links with Gombe Group of Institutions located in Kampala Uganda, Futuraskolan International School of Stockholm, Sweden, Churchdown Village Infants School, Gloucester and Notre Dame Academy Elementary School, Los Angeles California. The global partner schools of SAI are also motivated towards joining its chapter or opening a chapter of their own.
SAI believes in building ties through global peace initiatives as part of UNESCO’S Sustainable Development Goals, specifically goal # 16 which highlights peace building activities with distinct social impacts.
