“Where Cultures Converge: UK Delegation Explores Global Education at SAI International

Monday, December 9, 2024: As part of its ongoing efforts to promote global collaboration, SAI International Education Group welcomed a distinguished delegation from Chosen Hill School, London, UK, from December 7 to 13, 2024. This visit was aimed at fostering intercultural understanding, promoting innovative learning exchanges, and building lasting educational partnerships. The delegation, comprising 10 students and three teachers, participated in a series of curated activities designed to blend cultural immersion with academic discussions and leadership development.

The delegation was deeply impressed by SAI International’s state-of-the-art educational facilities and engaged in thoughtful discussions with the school leadership. The visit included comprehensive school tours of all wings—SAI International SchoolSAI International Residential School, and SAI Angan—showcasing the school’s holistic approach to education.

Cross-Cultural Learning & Pedagogy Embracing Diversity

The visit began with a warm reception at SAI International Residential School (SIRS), where the UK delegation was welcomed with open arms and made to feel at home. The cultural exploration continued with visits to Odisha’s iconic heritage sites, including the Sun Temple at Konark and the serene spiritual ambiance of Puri. These experiences allowed the delegation to gain a deeper understanding of India’s cultural and historical richness.

Collaborative Learning and Innovation Dialogue

The delegation participated in a series of intellectual exchanges, including discussions on transformative initiatives like "SAIoneer Global Entrepreneur" and "STEM@SDGs_2030 – Global Mission," which focused on sustainability and global cooperation. They also visited SAI Angan, an award-winning early learning center, and engaged in discussions about fostering future collaborations in the fields of education, technology, and global innovation.

Extensive Community Impact and Future Partnerships

A key highlight of the visit was the delegation’s participation in a CSR activity at Bhalunka, a tribal village, with SIRS and SIS CSR Interact Club teams. The activity focused on raising awareness about the importance of education and tackling child labor. The delegation participated in a skit performed by the Interact Club and engaged in a craft activity where they pledged their commitment to promoting education and ending child labor.

Later, the delegation was interviewed on SAI TV, sharing their experiences and reflections on the visit. A Reflective Journal activity allowed participants to introspect on their learning journey, reinforcing the importance of global citizenship and collaborative education.

The evening culminated with a bonfire and farewell dinner at Brahmakamal, where cultural performances and vibrant dances created an atmosphere of camaraderie and connection.
