On January 7, 2026, students in Grade IX embarked on an enriching educational field trip to the Institute of Life Sciences, a premier research institution dedicated to advancing the life sciences and biotechnology. The visit was designed to provide students with first-hand exposure to real-world scientific research and inspire curiosity beyond the classroom.
The Institute of Life Sciences is renowned for its interdisciplinary research in areas such as genetics, genomics, neuroscience, and biotechnology. During the visit, students explored state-of-the-art laboratories, bioinformatics facilities, and advanced research equipment that support groundbreaking scientific work.
SAInoneers had the opportunity to observe ongoing projects related to gene editing, cancer research, and microbiome studies. Interactions with researchers proved to be a highlight, as they shared valuable insights into topics including mutation of organisms, cell signalling processes, ethical considerations in scientific research, and the pathway that transforms laboratory research into market-ready solutions.
