Creating opportunities for knowledge exchange under the Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA) set up by Ministry of Education, SAI International School hosted 60 members from Nayagarh District Government High Schools, comprising of students & educators on March 28, 2023, in a bid to enhance cross-cultural peer interaction, broaden academic perspectives, enable community sensitisation & engagement, bring focus on innovation and use of technology, thereby fostering a culture of thinking, inventing &tinkering amidst young minds, beyond their classrooms.
It was an excellent way for the students from Nayagarh District High School to break away from their regular routines, explore new environments, engage in the intriguing experimentations at the Math, Science (ATL) & Robotics Labs with their newfound friends at SAI, and gain exposure to novel learning methodologies.
Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA) has been set up by Ministry of Human Resource Development, in pursuance of the focus on connecting school-based knowledge to life outside the school and making learning of Science & Mathematics a joyful and meaningful activity, to bring focus on innovation and use of technology.
“It’s been a pleasure hosting the teachers & students from Nayagarh District Government High Schools. It was a great opportunity for the visiting students to indulge in practical learning experiences beyond their typical academic environment with access to advanced technologies & innovative facilities that stimulate their natural curiosity and passion for Maths, Science & Technology.”, said Dr. Silpi Sahoo, Chairperson, SAI International.
“I’m sure these visits will encourage students to collaborate with their peers from different schools. Working collectively on various assignments and projects shall promote a sense of unity, teamwork, and solidarity among them. RAA has been a great endeavor by Ministry of Education to foster refinement of more effective teaching-learning practices for both students & teachers.”, said Shri Nilakantha Panigrahi, Director Academics & Senior Principal, SAI International School
“The favorite part of my visit was engaging in the color change experiment at the Biology Lab.”, said a visiting student from Class VI
“Students from government schools in our district don’t have access to certain facilities. So, this has been a great opportunity for them to get that exposure & encourage them to dream big, while learning new approaches such as art integrated learning & music integrated learning, practiced here in SAI International School. For us, as their teachers & mentors, it great to engage in such capacity building outreach programs that help us transform as change agents for our students.”, said a teacher, while the visit.
