The Going Global members embarked on a remarkable day of service as they paid a visit to the Utkalmani Gopabandhu Old Age Home. Engaging in "Acts of Service," they seized the opportunity to interact, learn, and develop a heightened sense of empathy through interactive engagement, utilizing board games, books, and heartfelt conversations. The volunteers graciously presented thoughtful gifts, including copies of the Bhagavad Gita, canes for support, and Caravan music systems, evoking cherished memories with evergreen songs. These thoughtful gestures undoubtedly left a lasting impact on the lives of these incredible individuals & instilled compassion & a sense of community among the SAIoneers.

"Visiting the Utkalmani Gopabandhu Old Age Home was a transformative experience for me. Interacting with the residents and hearing their stories reminded me of the importance of empathy and human connection. The smiles on their faces when we engaged in activities together warmed my heart and made me realize the power of small gestures. It was truly humbling to bring a little joy and companionship to their lives, and I will cherish this experience forever.", said a student on visiting the old age home.

"The visit to the old age home was an eye-opening experience that taught me valuable life lessons. Spending time with the elderly residents allowed me to see the world from a different perspective and appreciate the wisdom that comes with age. Engaging in conversations, playing games, and sharing laughter created a bond that transcended generational differences. Witnessing the impact of our gestures, whether it was a simple gift or a heartfelt conversation, made me realize the power of kindness and compassion. This experience has left an indelible mark on my heart.", said another Going Global member.
