The young geographers of Class 8K enthusiastically participated in a Geography bridge activity designed to deepen their understanding of India’s rich soil diversity. With curiosity and excitement, students engaged in an immersive hands-on exploration where they examined six distinct types of soil collected from various parts of the country.

They classified the samples based on key characteristics such as colour, texture, particle size, and region of origin. This engaging activity not only brought textbook knowledge to life but also helped students appreciate the vital role soil plays in agriculture, ecology, and sustainability.

Through active participation, students honed their observational and analytical thinking skills, drawing meaningful conclusions through discussion and collaboration with peers. The activity also encouraged them to ask questions and think critically about the factors that affect soil composition and distribution across different geographical zones.

By integrating experiential learning with practical application, the session successfully nurtured a scientific mindset and a deeper connection with their environment. The blend of curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking made this bridge activity a meaningful step in their learning journey.
