A team of educationist led by Dr. Bijoy Kumar Sahoo, Chairman, SAI International School has been invited by the Chinese Government through their High Commission for an educational exploratory visit to China from March 14 to 24. This is part of the expanded Educational Exchange Programme as agreed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping to bring in a positive development in the socio-economic status of both the countries by enhancing exchanges among educational institutes.

The programme which aims to enrich bilateral relations will commence on March 14, 2017 with the delegates being welcomed for a cultural evening and an orientation meeting by the Chinese Embassy at Kolkata. The team from SAI will visit various levels of educational institutes across China, including a pre-primary school, a primary school, a secondary school and a senior secondary school as well as the Xiamen University. They will also have discussions with the Office of Foreign Affairs of Yunnan and Fujian Province besides meeting with members of Shanghai People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. The visiting team will make elaborate presentations on the culture and traditions of Odisha and the various innovative initiatives taken up by SAI International School for the holistic development of students. Dr.Sahoo looks forward to forge partnership between diverse educational institutions for student and teacher exchange programmes, introduce Mandarin Chinese at SAI International School as well as provide support to Chinese Schools for strengthening English language whereby empowering students and faculties from both the countries.
