SAI inspires students towards Entrepreneurship

The annual Business Model Competition of SAI International School was conducted on Thursday, July 19, 2018 on the theme ‘Startup India’. Shri Manas Ranjan Panda, Director, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and judged the competition.

A wide gamut of innovative Business models was brilliantly exhibited by students in the Indraprastha auditorium of the School. From addressing issues related to waste management, to providing access to doctors and health facilities, to bringing back Ayurveda, to creating awareness on mental health issues, to making organic pens, each project reflected the students concern for the society at large. The projects also showcased the in-depth back ground research like evaluation of feasibility, requirement analysis as well as meticulous detailing of process, budget, profitability etc.

Shri Panda in his address congratulated the students for their creativity and coming up with solutions to many of the pertinent environmental and social hazards. He added that the Startup India vision 2020 will soon be accomplished with such encouraging models. He suggested for creation of an ‘Incubation Centre’ in the School to encourage the budding entrepreneurs. Shri Panda also outlined various support by State and Central Government for budding entrepreneurs. Chairman Dr. Bijoy K Sahoo appreciated the students for their unique approach, style of presentation and level of confidence and said that the key driver of development of any nation is Entrepreneurship. He inspired the students to pursue their dreams and be an employer to contribute towards creation of national wealth.

The competition provides an amazing platform for the students of Senior Secondary Commerce to exhibit their business acumen and get an opportunity to discuss about their model startup ventures with eminent personalities. It is organized every year to promote entrepreneurship among the students by encouraging them to initiate and build up on their idea to a meaningful business model.
