In order to strengthen the education system and meet the aspiration of the children of India, the Country Director of the British Council Mr. Alan Gemmell, OBE, visited SAI International School on Thursday, August 4, 2016. He was accompanied by Dr. Debanjan Chakrabarti, Director, British Council East India, Ms. Mousumi Mondol, Head, International Higher Education, East India and Shri Avijeet Kundoo, Head, Examination Services, British Council, East India.

Mr. Alan discussed on various possibilities to initiate educational programmes in SAI and take it across the Country. He also stressed on the need to reach out to more schools to bring about an overall qualitative improvement. Mr.Alan was highly impressed with the holistic learning and parenting school approach of SAI as well as the facilities.

SAI is the British Council Ambassador School of the State, who has taken the onus of mentoring eight different schools. For its exemplary contribution, the school has been conferred with the British Council International School Award (ISA), for the year 2010-13 and 2014-17. The School has been a strong partner with the British Council since its inception.
