We are proud to announce that, SAIoneer Tarun Tapan Bhuyan from Class XI clinched the “Winner’s” spot as the Champion of the Poetry Competition with a cash prize of Rs. 25,000, under the aegis of the star-studded 12th Odisha Literary Festival 2024 extravaganza at Mayfair Convention, Bhubaneswar on September 22, 2024, organised by the New Indian Express. He emerged in first place after two rigorous rounds on topics, “The Dew-Soaked Leaves, The Rain-Soaked Earth” & “A Lost Friendship” for his poems titled, “The Reverie of Dawn” & “Your Evanescent Company”.
Tarun was felicitated by Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha & Prabhu Chawla, Padma Bhushan awardee & Editorial Director of the New Indian Express. The masterful jury panel comprised Dr. Himansu S. Mohapatra, Professor Emeritus of English, Utkal University and bestselling author of “The Other Side of Reason” and Dr. Rabindra K. Swain, Fmr. Managing Editor of Chandrabhaga and besting author of “The House is not for Knowing”.
