As part of SAIMUN 2024, international delegates from Uganda & SriLanka, accompanied by their peers from SAI International School, visited the Sambad Office, Odisha's No.1 media house, to gain insights into the region's dynamic media landscape. This visit on 26 July 2024, included an in-depth tour of the newsroom, interactions with seasoned journalists, and a glimpse into the operations of print and digital media. This exposure highlighted the pivotal role of the media in shaping public opinion and fostering informed societies. The delegates and teachers engaged in discussions about the importance of free press and responsible journalism, fostering mutual knowledge sharing and collaboration. This visit enhanced their understanding of media's influence on cultural narratives, broadening their perspectives on global media practices and reinforcing the significance of media literacy in today's interconnected world.
