DR SILPI SAHOO, CHAIRPERSON

A contagious smile and warmth that radiates to the entire fraternity of SAI International, Dr Silpi Sahoo is the most cherished connecting vital link between the students,
faculty and the management. A Masters in History and a Doctorate in Women Studies from Utkal University, Dr Silpi Sahoo believes in being a lifelong learner. She
has also undertaken special training in Child Psychology and innovative teaching and learning methods that lead to ensure completeness in development, pruning any
inconsistencies, with expertise. Always willing to explore and learn new concepts, she completed the Continuous Professional Development Program by the British
Council, UK.
In the year 2013, she attended a Program on Early Childhood Education Sector, which entailed learning and networking experience for Global Educators at the Asian
International College, Singapore. She completed a short term course at the Harvard School of Education, USA on Making Learning Visible. For high quality professional
practice and innovative approaches, she was conferred with the Global Teacher Accreditation Award by the British Council, UK.
She has attended the Indo-US summit on Higher Education, in September 2010 at New Delhi. She has presented papers on ‘Microfi nance and Sustainability of SHGs-
Coping with poverty alleviation and gender equality’ at the National Conference on Financial sector: Contemporary Issues.
Dr Sahoo has also been felicitated with the AARYA Award for her exemplary contribution in the fi eld of education in March 2020. She is an avid traveler, and has visited
numerous renowned educational institutions across the globe to bring back ideas and imbibe practices, which have further enriched the institution profoundly.
She is an embodiment of motherly tenderness and genuineness, extending loving care to each and every child. Her laudable eff orts lead to the profuse blossoming of
inherent talent and confi dence, thus adding new dimensions to the holistic development of each student. With an eye for detail in aesthetics, concern for the environment
and detailed precision in the infrastructure, her insights have lent a special charm to the School campus.
