“Culture is the widening of the mind and of the spirit.” – Jawaharlal Nehru
On the morning of 25 June 2025, students of Class VIII A hosted an inspiring and memorable assembly. The programme commenced with a soulful prayer, creating a serene and respectful atmosphere. This was followed by a thought-provoking quote, global news updates, the word of the day, and a fascinating fact, each presented with clarity, fluency, and remarkable stage presence. The student speakers impressed everyone with their composure and delivery, showcasing how they have grown into confident communicators.
The highlight of the assembly was a mesmerising Odissi dance performance. The graceful movements, expressive gestures, and traditional music came together to offer a heartfelt tribute to Odisha's timeless cultural heritage. This artistic performance not only added a visual and emotional depth to the morning but also left the audience deeply moved and appreciative of India’s rich classical traditions.
What truly stood out was the team spirit and enthusiasm displayed by the students. Every aspect of the programme, from content selection to execution, reflected their collective effort and passion. The coordination between speakers, the seamless transitions, and the elegance of the dance performance spoke volumes about the students’ preparation and commitment.
The assembly concluded on a high note, leaving both students and teachers with a sense of pride and inspiration. Events like these not only enhance public speaking and presentation skills but also deepen students’ connection to their culture and values.
