The theme of SAI Confluence 2019 is ‘Dashak’, signifying the Decade of Excellence of SAI International School. A voyage extraordinaire, leading to the creation of an institution of national repute, wherein each and every step is ushered towards the quest of lifelong learning, nurturing the human spirit and initiating excellence through devotion and dedication. SAI Confluence 2019 was all the more special as it coincided with the decadal year of SAI International School and the Centenary year of Sai Baba’s Mahasamadhi.

It was inaugurated by Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb on Sunday, January 13, 2019 in the School premises. He also unveiled the ‘Decadal Pin’ which will be given to the students to commemorate the ten-year journey of the school. In his address, Gajapati Maharaja congratulated SAI International School for making the State and the Nation proud with their achievements. He emphasized the importance of value education and said that a child is a product of its own environment and so one should ensure that the environment is based on cultural values to make them great individuals. He added that amalgamating modern education with moral, spiritual and ethical education will help build character of children in a better way.

Chairman Dr. Bijoy K Sahoo spoke about ‘Dashak’, and said that “to achieve excellence in life, only two things are required, Shradha and Saburi”. He added that SAI Baba’s universal teachings are the constant guiding factor which has made the school successful in the national and even international school educational scenario. Dr. Sahoo also shared that ‘happiness is the theme of our school and if everyone is happy, learning will be more impactful and permanent”.

Vice Chairperson Dr. Silpi Sahoo thanked Gajapati Maharaja and Maharani Lilabati Pattamahadei for sparing their valuable time to bless the students and the school and all the students for putting up a great show. Principal Shri Harish Sanduja highlighted the achievements of the School and the students.

SAI Confluence is special as all the students of the School are inspired to participate in the function to bring out their hidden talents and raise their confidence. The fun and creativity in crafting wonderful performances through songs, music and scripts motivates the students to get involved in the entire process with zeal and dedication. It is an integral part of its curriculum for the holistic development of the students which impart a deeper learning through innovative themes giving out a strong message on the values, culture and traditions of our nation and state as well.

The event commenced with an eclectic performance by one hundred students playing a myriad of instruments to invoke the blessings of the Almighty. Assimilating the spiritual thoughts and ideologies of various religions and festivals of the country and weaving a beautiful narrative executed by children through dance and music was a spectacular sight to witness.
