“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” ―Pablo Picasso
The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service to others and bring happiness on the lives of the unfortunate, with your altruistic service. Such is the spirit of our SAIoneers who volunteer to work selflessly with compassion and sensitivity to serve the community through small acts of humility and kindness.
In spite of the lockdown, SAIoneers continued their act of philanthropy during the Joy of Giving week held from October 2 to 8, 2020. The Interact Club and Going Global Club members undertook the “Happiness Bingo” challenge under the banner of Happy Giving. They performed acts of happiness like teaching someone to use a phone or app, reading a story, gifting things like a mask, sanitizer, sanitary napkin, book or feeding homeless animals, supporting local vendors, making a bottle pot and many more.
SAI International celebrates Joy of Giving or Daan Utsav every year to inculcate the value of compassion and empathy in the students and develop in them an inner urge to render their contribution towards the society. As the agents of change, the SAIoneers walk ahead to make this world a better place in their own small ways.
