The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has selected SAI International School as the Mentor School of five CBSE schools in its locality. The objective of the HUB is to create a school system that provides the most joyful, creative, exploratory and vibrant school experience and environment for its learners as well as provide the most fulfilling experience for its teachers. It aims to synergize schools to achieve educational equity in community.
HUB of Learning endeavours to make the CBSE schools future-ready by ensuring quality education, adoption of innovative pedagogies, experiential and active learning with a focus on skills, art and sports, capacity building of teachers for the holistic development of children. It attempts to identify the best practices of various schools and adapt or implement those in other schools.
This is an annual programme where in the Mentor school and the five identified mentee schools work together towards enhancing academic standards of the school through teacher exchange, sharing resources and collaborate to give more exposure to the students and teachers.
An introductory meeting was held in the School on Saturday, August 03,2019, where Principals of the member schools highly appreciated the initiative of the CBSE regarding formation of Hubs to enhance the quality of schools through collaboration. Several key points were discussed during the meeting.
The 2nd meeting of the HUB Schools was held in SAI International School which was attended by the five mentee schools. A vivid brain storming was done and a calendar of activities was drafted. The activities planned were exchange of teachers for peer teaching, sharing of question banks of different subjects which can be used for internal tests, students to attend events in the mentor school, teachers to attend workshops to orient about online courses, MOOCs and certification for continuous professional development, attending ATL lab classes etc. It was decided to organize some collaborative CSR activities during Peace day and International Day of Persons with Disability.
