AN ADDRESS TO TEACHERS

by SAI Admin

01 March, 2019

“Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.” – John F. Kennedy

Ms. Shakuntala Devi, the Mathematical genius once said Education is not just about going to school and getting a degree. It’s about widening your knowledge and absorbing the truth about life. Teachers play a pivotal role in expanding the knowledge horizon of students in a positive manner, which makes it immensely important for them to keep themselves updated, maintain their poise and selflessly impart education. To keep the teachers of SAI International motivated, regular trainings, workshops and motivational sessions are organised.

The short holidays before the beginning of an academic session is always special as it gives the teachers an opportunity for productive professional development. Principal Shri Harish Sanduja addressed the teachers on Thursday, February 28, 2019. In his talk, he congratulated the teachers for their impressive work in the last academic session and outlined the major activities that will be taken up in the new session. He encouraged them to keep working as a team and raise the level of excellence.

He briefed them about the revised Vision and Mission of the School and spoke on its importance. Shri Sanduja gave a detailed account of the WhatsApp rules to be maintained in school groups and urged the teachers not to spread unknown messages and be particular with wordings.

He reiterated the rules followed while escorting the students in a bus and reminded them to ensure that the water bottles are full as summer is impending. He also asked them to check the first aid kit on a daily basis. Shri Sanduja also spoke about the various etiquettes to be maintained during Parents Teachers Meeting. Finally, he gave a briefing on Bloom’s Taxonomy and requested all the teachers to learn about the six basic levels and encourage higher-order thinking skills in students in a systematic manner.
