Final Day of HMUN India 2025: Triumphs, Takeaways, and Togetherness

by SAI Admin

18 August, 2025

The curtain fell on the 15th edition of Harvard Model United Nations India, but not before giving our young diplomats memories, recognition, and friendships to last a lifetime. The final day was nothing short of remarkable. In the morning, some committees cast their decisive votes on draft resolutions, while others embraced the lighter side of diplomacy with Harvard’s much-loved “FUNMUN”. Laughter, creativity, and camaraderie filled the rooms as delegates presented entertaining motions and received invaluable feedback from their directors, a fitting way to wrap up four days of intense debate and collaboration. As the sun moved higher, the delegates gathered for a hearty lunch and then stepped into the grandeur of the Closing Ceremony. The atmosphere brimmed with anticipation, and soon came the proud moment for SAI International:

. Vyapti Patro & Adyasha Priyadarshini – Honourable Mention Award (DISEC, representing Estonia)
. Tarun Tapan Bhuyan – Determined Delegate Award (Cuban Missile Crisis, 1962, representing General Earle G. Wheeler)

Thunderous applause and beaming smiles crowned the achievements of our delegates, who not only showcased their intellectual prowess but also embodied resilience, diplomacy, and teamwork. With the ceremony’s end, our SAIoneers bid farewell to Hilton and boarded their journey back home, suitcases packed not just with clothes and souvenirs but with knowledge gained, friendships forged, and unforgettable experiences that will inspire them for years to come.

This chapter of HMUN India 2025 may have closed, but the story of global leadership and lifelong learning has only just begun for our future changemakers.
