SAI International School proudly hosted the Valedictory Ceremony of the AFS National Calendar Activity – Jashn-e-Bharat: Uniting India Through Celebrations, a vibrant initiative that brought together students from across the country to celebrate India’s incredible cultural diversity through the lens of its festivals. Conducted virtually, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 12 schools across India, with students from Grades IX to XII presenting original video narratives that celebrated the spirit of unity in diversity. Through creative storytelling, scripting, and production, students explored the traditions, significance, and values of festivals ranging from regional harvest celebrations to nationally celebrated occasions like Diwali and Eid.
More than just a festive showcase, Jashn-e-Bharat served as a powerful platform to promote intercultural learning, national integration, and creative expression among young learners. The initiative encouraged students to delve deeper into the cultural fabric of India, fostering a greater understanding of shared heritage and diverse identities. We were deeply honoured to welcome Ms. Sarita Badhwar, a certified Intercultural Learning (ICL) trainer associated with AFS Intercultural Programs India, whose inspiring presence added immense value to the ceremony. Her insights and encouragement resonated with students and educators alike, enriching the closing celebration of this unique intercultural journey.
The Valedictory Ceremony was a resounding celebration of collaboration, inclusivity, and youthful creativity, echoing the very essence of India’s soul. SAI International School extends its heartfelt appreciation to all the participating schools and students who came together to make this event a meaningful and memorable experience.
