The Class XI Science students went to The Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (CIFA) as part of their field visit on Friday, December 14, 2018. CIFA is a premier research Institute on freshwater aquaculture in the country under the aegis of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi.
The students were welcomed by Technical Officer, Shri D.P.Rath and given a tour of the renowned Institute. They visited different laboratories and got to know about fishing process, plantation in running water (without soil), about the breeding processes of Star fish and Cat fish and their appropriate living conditions etc.
The students visited departments like Aquaculture Production And Environment Division (APED), Fish Nutrition & Physiology Division (FNPD), Fish Health Management Division (FHMD) and Fish Genetics and Bio Technology (FGBD).
