Two students from SAI International School once again prove their mettle as they are selected for University of Rhode Island Building Bridges program. Sarah Hussain and Aarushi Dobriyal of Class X have been bestowed upon with this rare honor for a month long project. The two students were selected on the basis of their academic performance and a self assessment report submitted by them.

The project is funded by the US Embassy in Islamabad through a grant to the URI and will take place from June 29 – July 25, 2015 at the Kingston campus of the University of Rhode Island, USA. The students will travel as part of a group, and URI will make all the necessary arrangements.

The program involves high school students from Pakistan, India and America to learn about each other’s cultures and appreciate the same. Building Bridges will bring together eight students from each country for four weeks of cross cultural exchange and engineering education.

The program aims to break down stereotypes and foster friendly relations. The students will live in residence halls on the Kingston campus, take field trips, participate in social activities and engage in educational activities that will have a prolific effect on their personalities and provide them with an experience of a lifetime.

It just vindicates the ability and the aptitude of the talent pool of SAI International School. I congratulate the students and I am sure it will give a wonderful dimension to their learning.”
