FACULTY ENRICHMENT

Training and professional development programs help to enhance knowledge, build a deeper understanding in individuals as well as develop team responsibility, making one aware of the practices and proper procedures of handling their responsibility with accuracy and care.

Senior Leadership Training Programs – The entire senior leadership team and many of the teacher leaders, have participated in the research-based activity of the British Council, UK and have been accredited with the Global Teacher Accreditation (GTA). The Senior Leadership Team has also undertaken various courses from reputed educational institutes like Harvard Graduate School of Education, USA, University of Nottingham, UK, Asian International College, Singapore and many more.

Enriching Education Workshop – More than 100 teachers have completed the online CPD course of the British Council, including several teachers who completed all the seven courses. Teachers have also attended various National level training programs conducted by SOF, British Council and TESOL Academy, which include enriching education workshops, curriculum designing and mapping workshops, core skill training courses etc.

Foreign Scholarship Programs for Teachers – Teachers of SAI International School have also received scholarships from reputed foreign Universities like the Full Bright Scholarship for the TEA programme and a scholarship from US Department of States for a four week’s Cultural Immersion Programme in the USA. Some of the teachers are also pursuing their Ph.D from foreign universities.

Other National Level Training Programs – The teachers of the primary level have completed Professional Development Program for Early Childhood Educators from The Educator Development Academy (TEDA), an affiliate of Education World.

Trainers from across the country and abroad, certified teacher trainers and subject experts from CBSE, the British Council as well as other sources are invited to the school, to train teachers across all levels. In-house trainers and the School Leadership team also conduct training programs for teacher development.

This helps in enhancing the knowledge base of the classroom practitioners, sharpens their skills and keeps them at par with global standards. Overseas trainers conduct training over a longer period of time, with the objective of training the trainers and the middle level leadership team. All this training gives new teachers the greatest chance of success as well as sustains veteran teachers as they meet new challenges in education.
