SAI International School relentlessly strives towards becoming a Global Brand. The school has introduced the first of its kind curriculum for Global learning whereby giving plenty of international exposure to the students right from KG I to Class VIII.

A workshop was conducted on Wednesday May 15, 2019 to orient the teachers from Classes IV to VIII level, to work on the core skills and contribute in the whole school enrichment, bringing in global dimension into their classroom teaching learning system. Facilitator Ms. Binati Misra conducted a series of ice breaking sessions where she asked about how each teacher can contribute to make the school a global brand.

A group discussion was done on how international dimension can be embedded to the lesson plans of different subjects. Each group presented brilliant ideas about teaching their lessons with an international edge for better learning and engaging the students in the process, therefore making the teaching learning student centric and also helping the students think out of the box, reaching out to the world.

Varipus suggestions came forth from the participating teachers. A Mathematics teacher suggested a project-based activity to teach the metric system comparing the Indian system with that of the other countries. The Social Studies teachers also presented ideas on waste management across the Globe, parliamentary electoral processes of different countries etc. Interdisciplinary activities were also suggested by the teachers which they thought would help the students learn beyond the text book and also looking at the world from other perspective. Finally, a review was done on the use of the Global Studies curriculum in the session that just concluded.
