THE EDUCATION – UK SEMINAR AT SAI

SAI International School, a premier school with strong International Character has a long term association with the British Council, which has played a vital role in embedding international learning into the curriculum. As a part of the Great Britain Campaign, the British Council organized The Education- UK Seminar on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at SAI International School, Bhubaneswar.

The UK and India share a well established broad-ranging expanding partnership on education. With 401 scholarships last year, the Great Britain Scholarships “ India 2015 is the largest ever scholarship program offered to the Indian students. Some of the eminent personalities from the British Council conducted the seminar, which covered various aspects of studying and living in UK, student visa and an insight session with the students who shared their experience of studying in UK. People pursuing their internship in some of the well known universities of the state even attended the seminar at SAI.

The aim of this program is to promote the exchange of culture, sports, business and especially education with India. We are proud to share such a relationship this country said Mr. Scott Furssedonn Wood, British Deputy High Commissioner, Kolkata. Mr. Andrew Soper, Minister Councillor (Political Press) British High Commission, New Delhi, shared his experience of being a school teacher before being an educational diplomat. He said, I had a dream of representing my country in the field of education and I am pleased to be a part of this seminar which promotes opportunities among the schools, colleges and the universities to get international experience in their education.Speaking on the UK “ India partnership he further added, “The leaders of the UK and India believe that our partnership would be the greatest one of the 21st century. Together both the countries can find the solution to the major issues of the world like the terrorism and the climate change.

Some of the The British Council will also screen two of the famous movie of Shakespeare As You Like It and The Comedy of Errors in the school on Friday, August 28, 2015.
