On September 2, 2023, SAI International School hosted an inspiring Science Model Exhibition with the theme "Technology & Toys." The event conducted as a part of the ongoing Founder’s Memorial Series, aimed to nurture inquiry-driven learning, design thinking whilst fostering scientific temperament among the budding innovators of Class IX & X. The exhibition served as a platform for students to showcase their innovative projects and explore the fascinating intersection between technology and toys. The event was made even more special by the presence of esteemed chief guests who served as judges for the projects. Dr. Jnanranjan Panda, Professor in Physics from Sri Sri University, along with Dr. Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra, Assistant Professor in Physics at KIIT University, and Prof. Krishna Chakravarty, Associate Professor in the School of Computer Engineering at KIIT University, brought their expertise to evaluate the creative and scientific endeavours of the young participants. Dr. Chandana Mohanty, HOD, Department of Biological Science at the School of Applied Science, KIIT University, and Dr. K. S. K. Varadwaj, Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Ravenshaw University, added their valuable insights. Rajesh Kumar Behera, BCM Activist and Research Scholar in the Department of Chemistry at Ravenshaw University, also contributed to the judging panel. This collaborative effort among educators and researchers underscored the commitment to nurturing the next generation of scientific thinkers and innovators.
Similarly, Class XI also presented various innovative projects & theories as a part of this Science Model Competition. Distinguished judges from esteemed scientific institutions lent their expertise to evaluate the projects presented by these aspiring young scientists. The judging panel included Dr. Palok Aich, PhD Professor , School of Biological Sciences (SBS) at NISER and the Director of Microbio Tx Health Pvt Ltd. Joining him was Dr. Joydeep Bhattacharjee, a PhD Reader in Physical Sciences at NISER. Dr. Seema Pradhan, Scientist C, and Dr. Namisha Sharma, Scientist B from Institute of Life Sciences, enriched the panel with their valuable insights and expertise.
The Science Model Competition not only celebrated innovation but also fostered an environment where scientific curiosity and critical thinking could thrive.
