SAI Model United Nations Conference is the annual MUN of the School. Initiated in the year 2013, SAIMUN has leveraged both in scale and grandeur over the years to become Eastern India’s largest International MUN. Every year more than 600 delegates from across the globe participate in the mega event.
SAIMUN is a 3-day conceptual replication of the United Nations (UN) International Committees where students from Class IX to XII assume the role of UN representatives and the members of the International bodies, to deliberate on challenging global issues and come up with solutions through consensus.
Accreditation – It is a duly accredited registered event of UNESCO and the United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan (UNIC), under the aegis of the UN. The theme of the event is Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – One World, One Family.
Objective – SAIMUN is a challenging platform for the students to build leadership skills; increase global literacy and expand critical thinking to foster international co-operation in solving global problems. Students get to participate in challenging debates on historic as well as contemporary global issues to envisage innovative perspective to comprehend the world we live in.
A lot of global interactions are organized during the Conference which complements the experiences of the delegates.
