Singing is not limited to exercising one’s heart and lungs, it is a magic that makes instant connection with people and spreads happiness. It is an integral part of human life and plays an important role in early childhood education. Singing also has the ability to enhance other skills like increase in vocabulary, learning to make the correct pronunciation, creativity, become disciplined etc.
Ihita Das of Class VI has won the hearts of people with her mellifluous singing. The confidence and maturity of her singing style has always astonished the audience. The eleven-year-old girl has not only mesmerised the assemblage in the School but also gets regular invitation to perform in places like Jaydev Bhawan and Rabindra Mandap.
She started her musical journey at the age of six,learning Hindustan Vocal Classical. An everyday rigorous early morning practice session and a disciplined lifestyle enabled little Ihita to see her dreams turning to reality.
Ihita was also selected by Zee Saregama this year for the direct entry to the 2ndlevel, butwas not able to participate. She has cleared her Prarambhika Part 1&2 and Diploma in Sangeeta Bhusan Part 1&2. Apart from being an excellent singer, Ihita is also a good student and is a member of Chairman’s Club. She is also shown exemplary skills in debating and painting.
