On 11 November 2025, SAI International School welcomed a celebration of imagination, diversity, and togetherness as NGO Swabhimaan conducted a vibrant Puppetry Show in the IP Auditorium. From 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, the space transformed into a living storybook—alive with movement, music, expression, and heartfelt connection. The event brought together students of Classes IV and V, along with 25 children with disabilities from Swabhimaan, creating a joyful blend of voices, perspectives, and shared learning. The highlight of the programme was the enchanting presence of Usha Venkatraman, a celebrated storyteller and TEDx speaker whose mastery spans classical music, puppetry, authorship, and educational outreach.
Through her expressive puppetry-cum-storytelling performance, Ms Venkatraman introduced children to tales layered with wisdom, humour, and empathy. Each story encouraged young minds to look beyond differences and embrace the beauty of inclusivity. The programme was hosted as part of the Anjali International Children & Youth Festival, an initiative dedicated to promoting inclusion, empowerment, and meaningful interactions between children with and without disabilities. The morning resonated with laughter, curiosity, and an unspoken understanding that stories have the power to unite us all.
The Puppetry Show stands as a testament to SAI International School’s ongoing commitment to cultivating compassionate learners and ensuring that every child’s voice finds a place on the stage of shared experiences.
